i have been quite curious about who is going to represent the United Kingdom in May for the Eurovision Song contest, so far until now i haven't heard anything so i went to Wiki, this is what they had to say
On 24 August 2011, the Daily Star reported that the BBC were taking an internal selection and that they were targeting Charlotte Church, JLS, The Saturdays, Pixie Lott and Katherine Jenkins. The BBC have since confirmed that they intend to participate, though have released no details regarding which artist will represent the United Kingdom. In August 2011, Geri Halliwell proposed that the Spice Girls should reunite to represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. [3] On 26 February 2012, it was reported by the Daily Star Sunday that girl band Atomic Kitten are to be this year's entry for Eurovision. Reports came after Jedward were named Ireland's entry for the second year running.[4] These rumours were later denied by all individual members of Atomic Kitten themselves.[5]On 1 March 2012, following speculation from fans as to when the news would be announced, BBC revealed the announcement of the chosen representative would be later that day, with Eurovision.tv also confirming they would release the news simultaneously.[6] It was revealed later that day that Engelbert Humperdinck is to represent the UK in May[2]
Now that is a good selection there, i wouldn't mind any of those guys flying the flag for the UK, but then i looked down and read "Engelbert Humperdinck is to represent the UK in May" first of all who is this guy? i haven't heard of him nor have i heard my parents talk about his work but i have to admit he has an awesome name xD Humperdinck. This video just came out.
O_O BBC seriously? with all the great artists we have today you pick him? So ok i'll have to admit he can sing, but times have changed it's not energetic enough for Eurovision, seriously Ireland's got it, LOOK!
